    Soda as a household remedy

Multiple uses in the home and garden

Soda is the business. Remove grease and burnt food residue from baking trays? No problem. Freshen up a smelly thermos flask? Consider it done. Clean badly soiled work clothing? Time after time. And even moss and algae on wooden fences can be simply scrubbed away with soda.p>

Soda has been used for centuries

The ancient Egyptians already knew about and used soda for cleaning and other purposes. They created salt marshes specifically to extract soda from soda lake water. As a natural mineral, soda is environmentally friendly because it does not have to be broken down by nature: it is already at the end of the environmental degradation chain.

    How does soda work?

When dissolved in water, pure soda is strongly alkaline and forms a base. It is therefore highly suitable for removing dirt and grease. The particles swell up and saponify: the soda breaks grease down into fatty acids and glycerine, and it forms soap with the fatty acids, which takes care of the cleaning action. In addition, pure soda softens water. Detergents and cleaners are able to perform better and can be used in smaller quantities.

    Proven household remedy for generations

Pure Soda under the HEITMANN brand has been tried and tested for generations as a versatile household remedy for laundry, home, and garden use. Grease, stains, odours, and dirt are tackled naturally with Pure Soda.

    Food-safe and hygienic

Also known as “washing soda”, soda can obviously be used to wash laundry. But it is a wonderful household remedy too. Jam and preserving jars can be cleaned hygienically and made food-safe with soda. The same applies to wooden boards and spoons and to unfinished basketry, such as bread baskets.

All clean: how to use HEITMANN Pure Soda

HEITMANN Pure Soda comes in three different forms: a concentrated powder, particularly powerful soda crystals, and predissolved in a bottle (on sale from March 2020). All three remove grease, stains, odours, and dirt, and ensure hygienic cleanliness. Read on to find out how easy it is to use HEITMANN Pure Soda.
